I-Park Grants to International Artists
For the 2009 season, I-Park will grant 3 international artists (based on citizenship) $1,000 as part of their acceptance into the residency program. These grants are separate from those that are associated with our Environmental Art Program and are mainly intended to help defray transportation costs.
All applications are initially processed by the jury without regard to citizenship or need. Only after the jury process is complete do we review the packages to identify those artists requesting grants. Final grant decisions are made by a separate panel. Applicants may or may not be asked to send a statement of need prior to the meeting of this special panel, but such a statement is not required as part of the basic application process.
