History & Outlook 

Initial sketches for the project were developed in 1993. A property search ensued and the acquisition of the present I-Park property was finalized in 1998. Numerous existing structures were refurbished and adapted to the needs of the Artists' Enclave at I-Park, the artists' residency program.

In 2001, its inaugural year, the Enclave hosted 28 artists' residencies in various creative disciplines.  In 2006, I-Park sponsored 48 residencies, with 60 projected for 2007, including a new grant/residency element.
