This is the General Residency Program that supports the following disciplines: Visual Arts, Architecture, Moving Image, Music Composition/Sound Art, Creative Writing and Landscape/Garden/Ecological Design. The application deadline is January 19, 2015 and here’s the Program Calendar. We will also be hosting our signature Environmental Art Program, fifth in the series, in September, 2015. Application materials will become available in mid- to late-December. Here’s Some of What Will be New for 2015: » 2 new, large visual arts studios » a new artists’ workshop so that more tools and equipment, and a roomy new workspace, will be readily available for artists’ projects » ADA compliance upgrades to the residence facility, 2 of the studios and the Common Area » the start of design work on a new ADA trail – to make the wonders of I-Park accessible to all » the start of design work on a new Music Composition/Sound Studio » I-Park’s own aerial drone – for artists’ use on projects needing that extra . . . Finally, as most of you know, I-Park has devoted a lot of energy to fundraising in 2014. Huge, awkward hugs and thanks to those who have already given generously to these appeals! While we have made great strides in this area, we still have a ways to go to meet our year-end goals. So, in the spirit of #GivingTuesday, and to offer those of you who haven’t yet made a gift another opportunity to show your support for the important work being done at I-Park, click here to make an easy, tax-deductible gift to the I-Park Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. Or, if you are an I-Park fellow and have not yet responded to the Fellows Appeal, please consider doing so at this time as this campaign winds up at the end of the year. All the best – and we hope to see you at I-Park in 2015!
