Intimate, Guided Trail Walks at I-Park

July 19 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Intimate, Guided Trail Walks at I-Park

For 2023, we are reactivating our popular founder’s guided trail walks.

Led by I-Park’s co-founder, Ralph Crispino, groups of between 6 and 12 guests at a time will be introduced, in a unique way, to the land and lore of I-Park. Each trail walk will be customized based on the date and time preferences, and the particular interests, of the group. A short survey will be sent in advance to gauge the preferences of the guests.

You’ll be exposed to the best of the best trails and art installations. You’ll learn about the 23- year history of I-Park’s artists-in-residence program, including some of the amazing projects that have been conceived at I-Park. You’ll also hear some weird and improbable human interest stories. I-Park has sponsored over 1200 fully-funded artists’ residencies over the years, so you can just imagine . . .

Cost per guest:
$60

All proceeds go to support I-Park’s international artists-in-residence program and its community engagement initiatives. The I-Park Foundation, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit charity under the IRS code.

There will be a wine and cheese reception upon arrival.

We’ll need a minimum of 8 guests in order to book the event. If we fail to reach this number by the deadline, your funds will be promptly refunded.

To keep the experience intimate, no more than 12 guests at a time will be programmed.

Plan for a 1.5 hour walk, though it can be longer or shorter based on your enthusiasm and stamina.

While the guided trail walks are traditionally scheduled to coincide with Open Trails Days (see dates below), they can also, with advance planning, be scheduled around your particular availability.

Pets are not allowed on the I-Park grounds.

If you are interested in booking a trail walk, please contact Joanne Paradis at 860-873-2468 or by e-mail at events@i-park.org.
