I-Park is pleased to welcome the public for an Open Trails event, on Saturday, July 8, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Visitors will be given a trail map and are invited to explore the grounds, including the 40+ existing environmental art installations. Most of our trails are quite gentle and you can spend as little as forty-five minutes or several hours meandering and exploring the flora, fauna and artworks.

You’re welcome to bring a picnic lunch, pull up a patch of grass and enjoy a relaxing screen-free, fresh-air experience. And, for our plein-air friends, you’re welcome to bring your easel, pick a spot and paint the beautiful landscape.

The event is family-friendly for children of all ages. We’ll have a scavenger hunt for all the kiddos with prizes. Due to the fragility of the artworks and the natural features at I-Park, pets are not permitted on the I-Park grounds.

Outdoor enthusiasts of all ages are welcome, however reservations in advance are RECOMMENDED, though you’re welcome to sign-in and pay at the Welcome Table. Adult admission is $10, Children 17 and under are FREE. For additional information, write events@i-park.org or call 860-873-2468.
