One Life and One Spring Life After Life
Visual Arts/Installation
One Life, One Spring (in the pond) reflects on humanity’s short existence as compared to nature. I drew from the Chinese idiom “人活一世,草木一春” which means, “Man has but one life, grass sees but one spring,” and speaks to the brevity of human existence.
Life After Life expresses the strength of life. The work started as a personal contemplation of happenings in life and was further inspired by the site and the natural environment to express broader perspectives.
